The Mesh Fly Rug Comfort provides exceptional protection against insects, making it an ideal choice for horses with sensitive skin. It features our specially designed comfort closure, which eliminates pressure on the chest area, ensuring a more comfortable experience—especially while grazing. For added coverage, a detachable neckpiece is included.

Fabrics & Materials

Crafted from a dense, durable mesh fabric, this rug offers excellent protection from insects while remaining breathable. The mesh is strong enough to withstand daily use in the field and is designed with a flat inner surface that feels soft against the skin and prevents hair from sticking. The light-colored fabric reflects sunlight, helping to keep your horse cool, while still allowing air to circulate. Key areas like the mane, chest, and tail are lined with smooth polyester to prevent rubbing and irritation.

Fit & Features

The anatomical cut ensures the rug stays in place, even after your horse rolls. The comfort front closure is easy to fasten and avoids any pressure points. A belly flap, secured with hook-and-loop fasteners and three straight surcingles, provides full coverage and prevents insects from accessing the underside. The extended tail flap includes an elastic band to keep it snugly in place, offering better protection for the tail area. The detachable neckpiece is reinforced with sturdy webbing on both sides to prevent slipping and to distribute pressure away from the mane.

Care Instructions

The Mesh Fly Rug Comfort is machine washable at 30°C. After washing, allow it to air dry completely. Tumble drying is not recommended.
